Unfair ticket charges

I undersigned, Mr. L.D. Parulekar, I happened to book Kingfisher Airline tickets on13-12-09 for flight to Indore from Mumbai on 11-01-10, and a return ticket on 13-01-10 over the telephone. The executive on the line Mr. Hussain, told me the charges for the round trip were Rs. 6608.00.

After two minutes when I checked the rates on kingfisher website, the rates were substantially lower than what I was charged for. So when I called again on Kingfisher helpline, I was told by one Ms. Denzel that the rates for the same round trip were Rs. 4008.00, which was lower by Rs.2600. I requested to talk to some senior executive of the airline. However since none was available at that time, so I decided to talk to them next day morning.

Next day, as per the suggestions of Kingfisher executive, I canceled my earlier bookings on 13th Dec. 09, and booked a fresh tickets for Rs. 4008.00. But I had to pay Rs.1500, as cancellation charges which I think is unfair and unjustified. It appears that I am paying for some human or system error which is totally the responsibility of the airlines.

I request you to consider my plea, and take necessary action for the repayment of the penalty that I had to pay unnecessarily.
