Contaminated Water Served on-board

I was a passenger on one of the flights (Flight No. IT 4588) from Jamshedpur to Kolkata on the 30th of April. My PNR No. was GKMFRK. I was served with a bottle of water on-board which was contaminated and had fungus in it. On the basis of mere faith that airlines provide non-spurious edibles and drinking water, I had consumed the water post which I started having nausea. I immediately escalated the matter to the cabin crew who after inspecting, agreed that the water had fungus and the only thing that she can do is lodge a formal complaint which I presume has been done. On disembarking in Kolkata, I vomited thrice and since then my health has deteriorated.

The bottom-line: My health had got affected and I missed all the important appointments in Kolkata on the 30th of April, 09. I have sent numerous emails to kingfisher (even to it's chairman) but the only reply that I have got is "We have raised the issue immediately with our suppliers who are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter. We thank you for your feedback and hope you will favour us with your patronage".

This has been going on from the past one month now and I think Kingfisher Airlines should take a heed of the seriousness of this situation and compensate me accordingly. I will be going to the media and consumer court soon.

6. Our Conditions of Carriage apply to all Kingfisher Airlines tickets

7. When you book you do not need to pay any applicable taxes, fees and charges.

8. This ticket cannot be utilized during the embargo periods as specified by Kingfisher Airlines.

When it came to the actual redemption of the ticket, which I had requested on the 16th of June, Kingfisher Airlines has stopped replying to my email, leave aside issuing the complementary ticket. There has been continuous followup mails from my side but all in vain. The last mail was sent on 29th of June:

Hi Neha

I would like to know if Kingfisher would be processing the complementary ticket. This issue has been dragging since 16th of June and I do not understand why you guys are not replying. Anyway since Kingfisher has turned a deaf ear, I shall pursue the next course of action as I had decided inititally to go to the media about such sub-standard services and to add to it, the laid back attitude of addressing this issue.

It was a pleasure knowing such an incompetent guest care service.

It is really sad that when the rest of the world is giving so much importance to Customer Service, our so called Airline Industry turns a deaf ear to customers.

I hope that Kingfisher takes things a little more seriously and I would also appreciate if some journalist/media person would like to do this story.
