Extreme inconvenience and financial loss caused by re-scheduling of Kingfisher flight IT – 3126, from Coimbatore to Mumbai
I and my newly wed wife booked on your flight IT 3126 from Coimbatore to Mumbai on the 9th of November had to face immense inconvenience and expenses due to your sudden PRE-PONDING of the flight
We the newly weds were booked for a 3 day hotel package in Kodaikanal, on Saturday (6th Nov ’10) I get a sms from kingfisher informing me that my flight scheduled for 3.20pm, will now leave at 10.40am.
Now for me to catch the 10.40am flight I had the flowing options
Option 1. Leave from Kodaikanal on 9th and catch the flight, the travel time from Kodaikanal to Coimbatore is 5 hours on a regular day, but due to heavy rainfall, the travel time was 6 to 7 hours. Therefore to catch the flight I would have to reach the Coimbatore airport atleast 60 minutes in advance, i.e. 9.40am.
Considering the travel time, I would have to leave Kodaikanal by 2am in the morning.
Do you think this option would be sensible! THAT TOO ON MY HOENYMOON???
Option 2. Leave for Coimbatore on 8th, and forfeit my one night stay in Kodaikanal?

Plus loss of money paid of one night stay
Option 3. Kingfisher offers me to take the next flight to Mumbai, i.e. 10th of Nov
In that case I would have to take up a hotel room in Coimbatore for a night, which would cost me Rs. 4000 min
Do you think this option would be sensible! THAT TOO ON MY HOENY MOON???
Option 4. Cancel Kingfisher flight, and re-book a flight on another carrier
As this booking was close to travel, I had to pay a heavy premium of Rs. 5000 thanks to kingfisher
Not to mention that I was on the phone from Kodaikanal for almost half a day, to get my ticket cancelled and re-book another ticket, total loss of time, money, mobile airtime
Thanks to kingfisher, my honeymoon was ruined, it is very frustrating and sad.
To top it off, kingfisher tele-callers had no sympathy and were curt to the core
I expected kingfisher to take my issue appropriately, but it bean a long time since i have filed my complian but they have not yet reverted
