Purchased a Toyota Ethios from Lanson Toyota in Chennai about 4 months ago. The dealer had a scheme running at that time where they paid for the first years insurance. Within a week of taking delivery of the car, I received a letter from the insurance company saying that my car was not insured because the cheque had bounced. I immediately brought this to the attention of the dealer and requested that they resolve this issue and obtain a letter from the insurance company that my insurance is still valid. Numerous follow-ups and even personal visits to the dealership have not resulted in a resolution of my problem. Pathetic customer service and no attention paid to customer concerns. I have even written to Toyota directly 2 days ago and have not yet heard from them. I am staying away from Lanson Toyota for sure for another Toyota vehicle that I intend to purchase.
