I have been contacting dealer varun motors, writing to co even the CEO but none is attempting to address the problem the car is making lot of noise and vibration due to defective silencer and co does not have replacement..

I am yet to hear from company. the car is making lot of noise and the drive is also not smooth..
Please arrange to sort out the defect.
i am surprsised the company is not able to arrange spares for a 5 year old car.

I presently have 3 maruti cars and until now i have used 5 maruti cars and never expected that the car will call for such expensive maintenance so soon without much running and further, also did not expect that your people will not be responding to my several reminders to attend service.

Varun again examined the car yesterday and they say 2nd and 3rd unit of exhaust system neeeds replacement, which if they have in stock will inform me.
the reason they explain is that the car is has not been much used and i have used speed petrol hence the exhaust system has gone defective.
I told him I am not using speed petrol, i suggested thet they can check the fuel in car, (why should i use an expensive fuel, i understand the engines are not deigned for speed fuel) and i have another vehicale--maruti van, which is a year older and done 12000km, such problem should have arisen in this car as well, this car is also doing similar running as esteem in question.
when i told him above, he said the car must be a carborator model. I told him the van is also an mpfi.
I have earler reported, i have experience of using 800mpfi 5 speed gear, the exhaust system needed change after 8 yrs, after driving 90000km.
The exhaust system has definately maufacturing defect, probabaly using low quality material in exhaust system.
i told him i have used 5 maruti cars, all of them purchased from varun. Now they are doing best to prove, i have not used the car properly by giving different reasons one after another for failure.

have purchases Maruti esteem lxi about 5 years ago but have driven about 8500 km and the exaust system /silencer has become pieces inside as per the varun service centre at balanagar, hence the car is making more noise and have asked to replace the silencer, which is also not in stock. This is not alright, i feel there is some manufacturing defect in silencer and maruti should examine as the silencer can not have such a short life and the car has to undergo such expensive repairs.
i have been user of maruti cars since 1995 and until now i have purchased and used 5 cars earlier 800 then 800mpfi 5 gear and now we have a Maruti van which is also 6 years old approx and run over 12000 KM, an alto K10 a nwew car and this esteem. None of the cars have given this type of trouble. I remember i had to change the silencer/exhaust in 800mpfi only after 8 yrs after driving 90000km.
