I have a swift Dzire VDI Modle june car. I have given my car for servicing in Maruti Service Center. In Servicing, the engine oil was changed, oil filter and coolont was changed and cleaning was done.
After 2-3 days, my car started showing the CAR with a Tool mark in the dash board. I contacted the service station for it and the technician from sai service came and changed some codes with his machine. Later again after 3-5 days same problem started occuring. Every time the technician came and changed some codes.
I got fed up and I told them to do some permanent solution. They took the car for a thorough check up of wiring and gave me report that the ECM was giving trouble and was needed to be replaced. They told me cost of that prat around Rs. 18000 - 20000. When I complained about it they told me that your cars warranty period has been expired and now I have to pay the charges for the part.
one of my friend told me that every major part of the car bears a serial code number. I want to search the code of my Car's ECM so that I can match it with my cars ECM and if it differs, then I can proceed for legal proceedings against the SAI service Kolhapur. Please any one can help me finding the Serial Code for ECM.
