HARASSEMENT BY THE JET LITE AIRWAYS STAFF AT T3 TERMINAL

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this email to apprise you of the incident that took place with me & my companion on the Delhi Airport today (6th January).

I introduce myself as Alok Rungta, businessman who is a frequent flier with Jet Airlines & have been a continued customer ever since. But the incident today has brought me to a massive business loss due to an astonishing service received by one of the staff at the airport.

I would narrate the incident briefly for your understanding & to avoid its recurrence in the future.

I along with my father had checked in at the Jet lite counter (Delhi Airport) at 10:45 am (well before the departure gates would close) & left my luggage on the weighing scale while a staff took our tickets along with the ID proof & stamped them with 10:50 am as the time, after which he suggested us to proceed to Counter#1 where we came across Ms. Satinder who said the counter is closed despite me showing the tickets stamped with 10:50 am. I insisted her to relook at the tickets as we were well before but she mentioned the staff has incorrectly punched in the time & that his watch is running slow, which was an absurd excuse. Due to her reluctance & lethargic attitidue we were not allowed to take our fight of 11:40am to Ranchi.

I was thoroughly disturbed when she actually mentioned that she would call for the security if we don’t leave the counter. To this, I asked her to guide me to the Duty Manager for which she said he was in a meeting wherein he was not which I got to know from a helpful gentleman at the other counter who lead me to the Duty Manager, who addressed me politely & have given me an alternate arrangement to fly tomorrow for which I was thankful to him. But the thing to bring to light here is the distinct approach of both the staffs.

I also heard her converse with fellow colleagues to close the counter for Chandigarh flight 25mins prior to the departure closure time. Request you to look into this at the earliest & hope this email would help you take necessary action against the insolent staff Ms. Satinder.
