Of late, I have been reading in newspapers that Hyderabad Cinema Theatres are monopolised by a few individual actors and producers of telugu cinemadom and they buy movie theatre seats for the first 2 or 3 weeks of new telugu cinema releases and thus they garner the highest profits of the movies of their brothers or sons; and the people who are the front runners of this business are Dr. Ramanaidu's son, nagarjuna (ye maya chesavu), allu arvind (allu arjun, chiranjeevi's son) etc. These theatres display the newly released movies only and wherever you go 1 or 2 movies are displayed only in all the main theatres of Hyderabad & Secunderabad.
There is open blackmarketing at theatres like Odeon, Sudarsan, Devi, Sandhya, all theatres at RTC cross roads, Raghavendra, Vyjayanthi etc. It appears Police have a share in this loot, so the beat constable turns a nelson's eye to these affairs.
Another problem is not many english movies are released, even if they are released they are shown at high end theatres and at odd hours. Presently, 'The Switch' & 'The American' are shown at odd hours in Multiplexes such as Big Cinemas, Inox, Imax, PVR etc. If you happen to be a common man, you can not shell out Rs. 150.00 for show and you are forced to go to a second show at these theatres. Why the World Cinema is not shown in ordinary theatres? Do not the Government frame rules so that the common man with varied interests is satisfied of his small desires? The Government it appears is very busy tackling its own affairs. The Government is not interested in the other interests of the common man. If you have some good tastes like watching the World Cinema and because of your job you are forced to stay put in Hyderabad, it is better you kill your other interests and serve the interests of the Powerful.
