Inox Cinema - Mumbai
Harassment to my pregnant wife and me

I, Pulkit Sanganeria, residing at 502, Jeevan Vihar Bldg, Manav Mandir Road, Walkeshwar, Mumbai - 400006, would like to raise my voice for the harassment caused to us by INOX Cinema - Mumbai - Nariman Point Employee and the Manager on Duty.

Time : 5:30 p.m., Date : 08.06.07, Location: Ticket Booking Counter at Inox Theatre - Mumbai - Nariman Point.

General: I go to watch movies with my wife and mother-in-law. And my wife is Nine Months Pregnant now. On arrival at the Cinema, i always give my credit card, the one from which the booking and payment is done on the internet, to my wife and the print out of the booking done on the internet, to collect the tickets for the show and than i proceed towards the parking lot to park the car. We have at least watched 50 movies in Inox in the last 6 months through Internet Booking.

Complaint: I had booked three tickets for "The Train" Movie, 5:25 p.m. Show time, dated 08.05.07 and we were already late to reach the theater, as we reached at 5:30 p.m. After i dropped my wife and mother in law with the Printout of the booking and Credit card, to collect the tickets from the counter, i proceeded to park the car on the P2 Level. On reaching the Food Court, i received a call from my wife, saying that the Inox people are denying to issue the tickets without the signature of the card holder.

I rushed towards the Booking counter immediately. It was already 5:45 p.m. than. My wife informed me that the Inox Employee said that "Only when the Credit Card Holder will come and sign on the booking Print out, only than he will issue the tickets." In fact the tickets are already paid for, on the internet. My wife continuously requested the Inox Booking Counter guy, to issue the tickets and also showed him the proof "Driving License" of being my wife with my Full Name on it. But the Inox Employee was not willing to accept anything.

When i reached the counter, the manager on Duty came on the Booking window and rudely conveyed to me that this is there rule and he cannot do anything about it. I informed him that I've paid for the tickets online more than 50 times and never have been i asked to come and personally sign on the Booking Paper. But he completely ignored it and kept saying you will have to sign to get the tickets. Eventually, we were getting late and my wife since she is 9 months pregnant couldn't take it anymore standing there, i signed and went to watch the movie.

The best part is that i had also paid for the tickets on the internet of "Oceans Thirteen" for Saturday the 9th June, 6:00 o'clock show. On 8th june itself, after the movie got over at night around 8:10, my wife and mother-in-law went again to the booking counter to take the movie tickets for "Ocean's Thirteen" Movie. And my mother in law signed on the booking Paper and got the tickets issued from the Inox Employee.

Its shameful to know, that a 9 months pregnant lady was denied the tickets, which were already paid for, and she had to show her Driving License as a identify proof of being my wife. Even after doing so, she was denied the tickets. And she was made to stand at the booking counter for 20 minutes for no reason. DIDN'T Expect such a thing from the team of INOX.
