Vijay Sales had advertised in news papers for HCL Computer. The ad promised 1) Assured Gift 2) Free Trip, 3) Softwares such as Bundled preloaded software Antivirus Microsoft works. After reading this ad we visited Vijay Sales Ghatkopar show room. The sale man were absolutely untrained and had no knowledge about the product. It took indefinably time to answer any qurrey. Ultimately most of our questions remained unanswered. However, the whole process took 2 hours and 40 minutes. After taking our cheque, when we asked for the free trip and Assured gift, after a long time, we were given a voucher for 2 day trip. However, we were told that "ASSURED GIFT MEANS NO GIFT". When the computer came it did not have preloaded Microsoft Works nor the CDs were there. The technician who came for installation had no idea. Short supply was noted but nothing has been done so far. No answers are forthcoming from Vijay Sales or HCL. Entising customers with false promises in the advertisement and then not adhering to what is promised is UNETHICAL AND ILLEGAL. We have been regularly buying from Vijay Sales but this will be our last purchase.
