SUB : NON REPLACEMENT OF DEFECTIVE AC ADAOPTOR SRL NO.CN-0J62H371615 – 9BU-4851-AOO- DP/N OJ62H3 OF PERSONAL LAPTOP OF DELLL STUDIO MODELL AGAINST SERVICE TAG NO.8D5Z4BS AND EXPRESS SERVICE CODE NO.18210355624
BRIEF OF THE CASE
• AC adaptor of Laptop moDell Dell Studio No. CN-0J62H371615 – 9BU-4851-AOO- DP/N OJ62H3 of L V Gireesh, S/O A L Perumal, 43 Pallivilai, Vetturnimadam (PO), Nagercoil, Distt Kanyakumari (TN) found defective which is in the warranty period and got informed to Delll Service, Chennai over phone No.044-61083000 against service Tag No.780504317668 dated 06 Oct’10.
• Delll Service, Chennai had informed that the said defective AC adaptor will be replaced within 2 or 3 working days and it will be dispatched through courier service.
• As the AC adaptor in question was not received to the above said address, again Dell service, Chennai has been asked about its dispatch but Dell Service replied us that the said AC adaptor was received back as the phone call made to the owner of the AC adaptor by the courier service not contacted.
• Again on 15/10/10 while approaching Delll Service, Chennai lodged a complaint and given us a case No.5480882 dated 15/10/10 and they informed us that the said AC adaptor will be provided within 2 or 3 working days. After one week we asked about the dispatch of said adaptor but they replied that they already sent the adaptor and the party received from the courier. But I did not get the courier and I asked for the docket number of the courier service to enquire where about of the said AC adaptor, but they declined to give that.
• Resultantly we have been facing lot of embarrassment and difficulties to get repaired or to replace the defective part of an equipment which is on warranty period of a reputed firm like DELLL. In this pathetic condition I only left with the option to go to the consumer Court to get the Justice.
