DEAR SIR/MADAM,

I HAD PURCHASED A HP PAVILION DV2601TX SPECIAL EDITION ENTERTAINMENT LAPTOP ON 29/12/07 FROM A SHOP CALLED DEEKAY INTERNATIONAL, THANE FOR RS 49600/-. IT CARRIED A 1YR WARRANTY.IN JUNE THE LAPTOP STOPPED FUNCTIONING. THE PROBLEM WAS POWER ON BUT NO DISPLAY ON THE SCREEN.THE SAME PROBLEM IS BEING FACED BY MANY LAPTOPS OF THE DV2500 SERIES OF HP PAVILION . MY LAPTOP ALSO BELONGS TO THE SAME SERIES.WHEN I GAVE THE LAPTOP TO THE COMPANY SERVICE CENTER AT SAKI NAKA ON 08/03, MUMBAI, THEY RAISED ME A QUOTATION OF RS11560 FOR REPLACING THE MOTHERBOARD.THE COMPANY HAD REPLACED THE MOTHERBOARD OF SOME NOTEBOOKS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM FOR FREE .BUT WHEN I ASKED THEM FOR THE SAME THEY TOLD ME THAT MY LAPTOP DOES NOT COME IN THE LIST OF LAPTOPS WHICH THEY ARE REPAIRING FOR FREE .IF ITS THE FAULTY MOTHERBOARD AND IF MANY CUSTOMERS HAVE FACED THE SAME PROBLEM WHY SHOULD THE CUSTOMERS CHANGE THE MOTHERBOARD.I HAD PURCHASED IT FOR RS50000/- AND NOW THE COMPANY IS ASKING ME TO SPEND ANOTHER RS1- IN JUST ONE AND A HALF YEARS OF USE . I FEEL CHEATED BY THE HP COMPANY .SO I PLZ REQUEST YOU TO LOOK INTO THE MATTER AT YOUR EARLIEST AS MY LAPTOP IS STILL LYING WITH THE SERVICE CENTRE.
