My APC warranty was expiring and i wanted to extend my warranty and i had called APC's Toll free number for the same. The customer service rep told me that she will arrange a call back from the concerned department. After which i received a call from Hemant Kumar from the AMC dept (i believe outsourced to Aforeserve.com Ltd ph number 01204597911) who told me that my APC UPS' warranty will be extended by 2 yrs if i pay that amount either over teh phone or online. So i went ahead and made that payment online. After which the AMC dept took almost 2 months to send me a kit to be filled. (Why should i be filling a kit after i have already made the payment.) After which every time i try to reach Hemant to get my kit he is not availaible and in meeting. Them after neumerours attempts to reach Hemant. I spoke to Sonia Mishra who then send me the Kit to be filled on my email address. No kit recieved on my address yet. Later after my conversation with sonia i came to know that the Extended warranty is not actually a extended warranty as it does not cover the batteries of the UPS. I tried explaining to sonia that i was not informed that the AMC does not cover the Batteries and i would like the money refunded. To which she kept on telling me that i should have asked if it covers the battery or not. If i have company warranty from the time of purchase which covers every unit of the UPS similarly an extended warranty should just extend the warranty period without excluding parts of the UPS.
Please help me fight this out and i feel cheated.
