Increased bill charges without intimation

Dear Sir,

In our area initially employee of EB (electricity board) came, noted down the meter reading. For consumer no- 75/04 – consumed units were 150 units - Charges entered in the card are – Rs 165/- . When we went to pay the EB charges we have been given shocking messgae from the cash counter clerk saying we have to pay Rs 235/- instead of 165 entered the card. There were NO proper explanations from the clerk Why this increase.

This is the case for all the consumers in our street & nagar.

Another consumer no. 75/04/607 – Units consumed – 80 - Charges entered in the card are – Rs 55/-

But we have been asked to pay Rs 95/-

No proper explanation from EB staff for this increased billing. I would like to bring to the attention of concerned autorities to explain reasons for this increased billing. EB staff maintain that there in No increase unit rates.

I would like to have your support to raise this matter at the appropriate level
