Sympathetic help of a handicapped couple from placement Agency and Refund of Rs 10, 000/- in respect of Shri Sudhir Banerjee, r/o 1077 sector 4, Type 4, R.K Puram New Delhi-110022 from, Placement Agency, Kumar Personnel Bureau B-219, 2nd floor Lajpat Nagar New Delhi-110022
we are a Physically Handicapped Couple, my wife uses crutches and I bilateral callipers with 75% disability of both lower limbs. We required the services of a full time maid. The undersigned therefore approached Kumar Personnel Bureau for providing a full time maid servant. Consequently a maid Asha Pawar was provided on evening of 18-11-09 for 3500/- pm salary and Rs 10, 000/- was given in cash by me towards contract & service charges for one year viz18-11-09 to 17-11-10.
But it was very surprising that the next morning she stole clothes and left our house secretly without any information or permission. When the undersigned discovered this and reached the Bureau with wife and other members we found her there. Mr. Manoj the employee of the agency apologised for her behaviour and pleaded that we do not call the police. He returned our goods and also promised to replace her.
Thereafter Parbati Devi Barman was provided by Mr Manoj. She was brought to our residence by their worker in the evening, but the very next morning, she did no work at all and started talking about the maid who stole our clothes and at about 10 am she created a scene and said she wanted to leave. Mr Manoj was contacted immediately on phone and the undersigned told him about this. Mr Manoj insisted that we should not let her go alone, and some - one from the bureau would come and take her. Even after 4-5 hrs no one came. It is very clear as she did no work this maid was sent by the agency only with the intention to teach us a lesson and to intimitate us because we both are physically handicapped and to frighten us. Thereafter the police PCR was called. The police inspector of Sector 12 R K Puram came he talked to Mr Kumar on phone, and thereafter sent her to the Bureau, after taking her signed written statement which was also signed by me.
Mr Manoj when contacted for refund of money spoke very rudely to me and threatened me with his high connections. Since the service was not provided even for a single day the advance of Rs 10, 000/- is required to be refunded. But till date the money has not been refunded. It is therefore requested that necessary action may kindly be taken to help this handicapped citizens get their money back as the action of the part of the placement agency amounts to cheating.
