This is regarding the MBA/MCA/M. SC course (s) that is being offered by the Anna University, at various centers in Tamil Nadu and also outside Tamil Nadu (including New Delhi).
I cant say about the MCA and the M.Sc courses, but the MBA course that is being offered by the university is still not recognized by any of DEC-UGC-IGNOU. It is mandatory for universities starting distance education coursed to secure the approval from these government bodies, or else, they will not be recognized after the completion of course, NO MATTER HOW HARD AND TOUGH THE COURSE IS .
I'm worried because there are many students who are pursuing the course presently, who are either unaware of this fact, or trust Anna University completely, owing to the respect that it has in the world. BUT NO MATTER WHAT THE UNIVERSITY IS, IT HAS TO SECURE THE APPROVAL BEFORE COMMENCING ANY (DISTANCE EDUCATION) COURSE.
THIS IS VERY SAD and I have tried inquiring about this through the center many a time and every time, they have a steady reply " It is in process and we will get it soon".
I think the present students should give pressure on the university to get this approval as soon as possible, otherwise it would become very difficult for the STUDENTS WHO HAVE JOINED THE COURSE WITH GREAT ASPIRATIONS.
Please consider this as very urgent and important
