I am to inform you that I have purchased two Carrier DURACOOL Plus Split Type Room Air Conditioners of 1.5 ton and one ton from Video C.D. Point, Dwarka on 17.5.2009. As soon as both the A.C.s were installed in my house the one ton A.C. did not function properly. There was very less cooling. The room was not cool even at 20 degree temperature.
I made a complaint at the prescribed service centre i.e. Ruchika Service Dealer. The Service Request number was 649 dated 4.6.09. The Service Engineer/mechanic who came to check the A.C. gave a Field Failure Cum Service Report stating that gas is short into outdoor. We were surprised to know that gas is short in a new purchased A.C. The mechanic/Engineer did not turn up on next day. The necessary repair was done on 17.6.09 after repeated requests. But A.C. did not work satisfactorily. The A.C. was not run in winters.
Next water wash service was done on 08.2.2010. When we started the one ton A.C in summer in the month of April it did not function. Again complaint no. DEL 1867 dated 06.4.2010 was made. On 09.4.2010 the Service Engineer/mechanic again gave the Field Failure Cum Service Report stating that A.C. Compressor is not starting. He advised to not switch on the A.C. and assured to come on next day to do the necessary repair work/replace the compressor. But again, no one came on next day. Another complaint no. DEL 5530 was made on 15.4.2010. But still no one has come for repairing.
I am sorry to state that I am not satisfied with functioning of this one ton A.C. It has not functioned satisfactorily from day of its installation. The Customer Service is also very poor. The fact that Field Failure Cum Service Report has been given twice proves that it is a faulty piece. It is therefore, requested that this A.C. may be replaced with another one.
