Defective Product - recurring issue of A/C not cooling and the necessity of gas being filled every few months

Background - We had bought the given model of Godrej Air conditioner (Godrej Airconditioner - Split (S1.5 God Grill - Godrej Split AC 1.5 Ton 19G1.)- Split 1.5 tonne from Kohinoor Tele Video - Dadar on 25 Oct vide Tax invoice no. 115164. This was installed in our living room in our new flat at 501 Sea Flama, Dosti Flamingos, Parel Sewri, Mumbai 400015. However we shifted into the house only in June. Thus the A/C was not used at all for 8 months. When we operated the A/C, we found that there was no cooling. A complaint was filed and the problem was fixed by filling gas. evidencing the same is attached herewith. Now, with the commencement of summer, we started operating the A/C and once again we found that the same problem of the A/C not cooling. We raised a complaint again and a technician, Abbas, attended to ascertain the problem. He again detected the problem, the solution being filling of gas with a quotation of Rs 2700 Approx. The technician suspects that the installation might not be in order. Since the A/C is no longer on warranty, a visiting charge of Rs 450 was paid in this connection (details of the visit is attached herewith). Today a person called Ashraq called up to say that the equiment might need to be taken and the total cost of repair would be over Rs 6000.

Pl. note the following points in this connection.

1) The A/C is sparsely used since it is installed in the living room

2) The A/C unit supplied did not contain warranty card, remote, 12' copper pipe kit and 15' wire, all of which were supplied later after repeated follow-ups and escalation to yourself. In fact the instruction manual and warranty card that is supplied is a photocopy and not original.

3) There is a recurrence of the same issue, the first time after 8 months and the second time after 9 months. This would lead us to believe that either the machine is faulty or the installation is not correct. In fact considering that the A/C unit did not contain many of the components as mentioned in 2) above, it appears that the machine might have been tampered with and hence faulty.

Would appreciate your immediate assistance in this matter to get the A/C repaired/replaced.
