I have bought a 7.5kg semi automatic washing machine (Appliance no. WS04D02-07007300) in October.
With huge regret I have to inform you that we have had less than satisfactory experience with this Godrej product. This machine needed replacement of its gear box within the first year of its service. A second hand gear box was fitted into the new machine even during its guarantee period.
Currently we discovered water leakage from the main tub and filed a complaint (No. 333392) on 13/04. On inspection I was told that the main wash tub needs replacement (Cost Rs. 1970/-). On protest your East Delhi supervisor Mr. Nitin Bansal agreed to send Mr. Naimuddin, your service engineer. On inspection he found trouble with sealing equipement of the gear box. This means the gear box needs replacement and not the wash tub.
The engineer was supposed to replace this gear box on 17/4 morning. For the past three days your supervisor Mr. Nitin Bansal and the local service provider Gunjan Refrigeration are now even refusing to take a call from me.
Presently, I do not live in the Dantewada jungles. I am in the middle of a concrete jungle called New Delhi. Therefore, it is difficult to believe that a company like Godrej which has just expanded itself to Latin America today, cannot get me a gear box in 8 days. Or maybe the company has slided from the image I have since my childhood. Godspeed.
I hope any or all of you will provide my dirty linen with some relief.
