Glass broken

I purchased a new pure it compact for rs 1000/-. the glass chamber got broken due to accidental fall, in 2 -3 days after purchase. it is more than 2 months, i complained to the local dealer, but till now, they say, the spare parts are not available, as it is a new introduction. i was asked to buy a bigger model for rs 2300/- (rs - the cost of the new piece, plus 300/- for the cost of broken glass). i dont want to waste extra money for a bigger model as i dont need.

i wonder why spare parts are not made available for any product when it is sold in the market.
