I had purchased my HTC touch diamond for more than 24, 000 on 14/1. Within few months it started giving me various problems & even the headphones wire coating broke out. I visited the service centre at koparkhairani (very far from my house at powai). They told me that motherboard would be replaced and it would take a week. After 10 days I took back my cell, I realised that the issue yet persisted and inspite of wating my time, they didnt replace the motherboard. they had only upgraded the software. I had to keep the cell again for more than a week. When I had spoken to the HTC customer care, they as well as the service centre people told me that grace period of 4 months would be given on your product. When i took the product home, I realised that they had taken off the magnet which pulls & keeps the stylus attached to the phone. They had even figited with my volume control buttons placed at the side of the phone & my volume down button wasn't working. On calling & telling them, they told me that I need not worry & it would be done anytime I go towards that side where service centre is located. As the centre was too far & you need to pay toll of 60 rs everytime u go that side, i tried using it & thought would get it done when i go there. After few months my phone got locked & to unlock it I needed to use both volume control up & down buttons. Now my phone was out of warranty & within so called grace period as was told to me b4. So i visited the same service centre & realised that its been now shut down. So i visited the service head quaters at marol. When they opened my handset, they realised that the instrument had been mishandled & even the screws were duplicate ones. They 1st doubted that i must have got my phone repaired
from non-authorised service centre. When I explained them & they realised the depth of the problem, the only solution they had is they said that they would do their best for me. The best was giving me 10-20% discount on the part to be changed in my phone. Just the part for volume control costs 2000. They expect me to pay such a high amount for something which was a fault of theirs. It was not feasible so i left the centre after a good argument with the head who was extremely impolite & rude. Have used many phones but this has been the worst product as well as the worst service ever. Now my 24, 000 is lying useless in my house. After putting one's hard earned money out of salary to buy a phone, you realise that it was a waste. HTC is just advertising but its products are extremely low quality ones & its service is horrible.
