Damaged product to be replaced

I purchased intex dvd player with hometheatre system costs 4000rs. The order no 704240762 and suborder no 74481324 dated 29-06-10. I gifted this to my friend, he opened the product after a week and he told me the volume key was damaged in that packing itself. I went to his home and and confirmed the damage. We checked the player. The players remote is working only within a meter if u go just a meter away, that was not working.and because of the damaged key, there is an irritating noise coming through the hometheatre system. We kept the product like that without using it yet. I informed this to homeshop 18 customercare centre. They gave me a complaint no and told me to call back after 48 hrs. I did, they told me to contact intex cus care, I did, from that onwards problem starts, i asked them to replace my product, but they never did that. i called them more than 30 times for the past 20 days, they never responded me properly. one of them said to wait for 72hrs, other said no service centre available at madurai, another one said to call back to homeshop18. But they also not answering properly and they try to avoid me by disconnecting the call. This was my third product i got from homeshop, for a regular customer like me also, they never cared. I want to replace my product with new one.otherwise i will file a criminal and negligence case against those people, i have all the recorded calls with me.
