On 10.12 07, I purchased one Sony LCD TV, KLV-40V from Digitus Electronics, 36 Qutub View Apartments, Katwaria Sarai, New Delhi vide Invoice No. 1327 (Book No. 27) For Rs. 91, 500/-.
On 02.12.08 i.e. within less than 14 months of purchase, it became dead and accordingly I lodged a complaint. The Engineer from your Authorized Centre, Hitel Vision Pvt. Ltd., Delhi 110007 visited, gave an expenditure estimate Rs. 10, 000/-, stating that B. Mount had to be replaced. I requested for repair of B. Mount, as warranty had just expired, the service engineer expressed his inability stating neither repair of the part nor its replacement within the warranty was possible.
The Unit was repaired by replacing B. Mount and I paid a sum of Rs. 9, 656/- against Invoice no. 11658334 dt. 08.12.08 of Sony India Ltd., Shakti Nagar, New Delhi.
On 29.04 10 i.e. within less than 17 months of its repair, it again became dead, I made a complaint (No.1). It was after vigorous persuation for 3 weeks that Set could be repaired. Yesterday, on 28.10.10 ie within 6 months of repair, TV Set again became dead.
You will surely concur with my views that TV becoming dead three times within 3 years certainly has some manufacturing defect. After all Sony is Brand of International repute and no customer can afford frequent expenditure on its repair.
Could you please look into and arrange for replacement of this Set which clearly has manufacturing defect and refund the sum of Rs. 9656/- charged on its repair in Dec.’08.
