I am T.Ramkishan Rao working in Bayer Cropscience limited, a german based multinational comapny, like samsung who are pioneers in consumer durables, we are poineers in pesticides in India. I have brought 37" LCD tv on (LA37R81B) on 30-12 from Tirumala music centre -Begumpeta Hyderabad
During September i had complaint with the tv and same thing has been reported to samsung customer care center in Kurnool of Andhrapradesh- 518001, the person from the complaint cell had come and inspected the tv and said that it needs some repair and needs to be brought their place and would cost around Rs 6000-7000/- and i have given the tv to customer care centre on Oct 1st 2009 and on Oct 2nd entire kurool was inundated with flood water and the samsung customer care centre also got submerged in water. On return of normalcy we approached the customer care centre and it remained closed for a period of 15 days and on opening we asked them the status of our TV and they said our TV was safe and no damage has been done to the tv.
When we enquired about the repair status, suddenly they have changed the version and told us that entire panel got damaged and needs to be changed which in turn would cost us around 30000/- we were shocked to know that as we have brought the tv just 18 months back and samsung known for its quality, how come a tv could get damaged in just 18 months which would cost us around 30000/- (we have brought this tv at 6-)
Hope i am clear in explaining the above situation and request you to look into, as we have much faith in the company quality consciousness and we have never expected that tv from such a reputed company would get damaged with in 18-20 months after purchase. We are not sure whether the we got a product which is below the samsung standards or the customer care centre person at kurnool is playing the game.
Please understand our concerns and we hope you would consider this and advice the concerned to take necessary action and get the TV repaired
