Poor Service of Nokia Care

On Saturday, January 22, I took my mobile phone Nokia E72, under warranty to a Nokia Care centre at O-9 Lajpat Nagar II.

Please judge the level of service that is being given.

The complaints and solutions given aer indicated below :-

1. Mail cannot be configured :- Reply: NOKIA servers are having a problem. Mail will not work on E72 and has not been working for past several months. No solution can be offered.

2. On the phone several times while typing messages, the space bar is not working .- No solution offered.

3. On the phone, several times, when one looks up contacts, the message "Memory full" appears. Solution suggested is to "Reload the software". For this I am told to go back and backup all data else I will loose all data. The centre, refuses to take a backup on a local computer or even on my own memory card and reload the software.

On raising my voice in order that someone higher up listens, I am told that no further solution can be provided.

As far as the centre is concerne, they have already logge a priority customer call N22 and will get paid for it, WITHOUT RESOLVING ANY COMPLAINT.

Is this the standard of service expected from companies that are dishing out expensive instruments with literally NO support.
