I am drafting this mail about my rather unfortunate experience with an e71 mobile phone purchased from mobile store trivandrum on 9th of May. I have always been a nokia customer and my previous phone was an e series itself which lasted me nearly 3 years. I made a call on my e71 and it just got cut out. Since then it has not switched on. I always kept my phone serviced and updated. I took the phone to nokia care pattom and they mentioned that the board had failed. It has never had any accidents, no water damage, etc and it was always kept in a travel blue mobile pouch, they have denied me the repair and mentioend that i wont get a warranty for that and also mentioned that there is no point in repairing this phone. This is not at all acceptable. A 20k worth phone failing after 1 year of use is not expected. It seemed like it was programmed to fail after 1 year of usage. I need to get a motherboard replacement or the phone itself to be replaced and am not ready to bear any cost involved since as a customer i dont think i have been treated fairly. I could have passed it on as hard luck if it was say a few months down the lane. But this is just a few days out of the warranty. I am happy to send the phone anywhere for a thorough inspection and am sure you will also agree to the fact that the phone is in immaculate condition.
