Nokia mobile 6233
Network Connectivity

My brother in UK presented to me a used Nokia Cellular 3G GSM phone model 6233. I had been using my Nokia Mobile 6233 for some years now with an Airtel SIM card. One fine day it lost network connectivity to Airtel. I tried to insert a Tatadocomo SIM card but it asked for a security code and would not accept 12345, the standard code of Nokia. It has the facility to come on without a SIM card. I gave it to Ream Electronics, Authorised Nokia Care, at Old Sardari Khera, Alambagh, Lucknow - 226005, Phone # 0522-4060159 on Jan 9 as per Job #100109/16 who charged Rs 55 for inspection as per receipt #4457. The next day it was posted online as Job Closed-Repaired. However, on followup on Jan 12, I was informed that it could not be repaired due to "mechanical problem." I think the only mechanical problem could have been of it not updating on software for India while surely it could update on UK/International software. After all it is still working without SIM card and its manual network search gives Hutch, Idea, Cellone but does not connect to them either. Could somebody please help/guide at gspal at indiatimes.com.
