DEFECTIVE MOBILE

Respectful Sir,

I had purchased a mobile NOKIA N8 (latest model) from Singapore cell park (Parrys) on 22.10.2010 for MRP Rs.23000/- paid in full using my debit card.

The mobile was a gift to my husband who is a visual merchandiser if a MNC firm.

The mobile has problems where it will not switch on. As he was in Cochin at that point of time he returned to Chennai to check on the problem with the dealer. We were advised to visit the nearest Nokia care center (an agency by name jyothi communications in Parry's). The handset was submitted on 03.12.2010 with invaluable pictured taken at various displays done by my husband. The handset has been sent to Delhi for repair.

We were told that the handset was a faulty piece and that all images will be corrupted and non-retrievable. Till date (21.12.2010) we are been given answers from the Nokia care center that they need to get the handset from Delhi and they do not have a status as of now.

The dealer has meticulously detached himself from the whole Dilemma stating that he was only a dealer.

We are still date tracking the mobile. We seek the interference of the consumer forum to make our voices heard.

This incident has nothing but turned on what could have been a pleasant gift to a tragedy that i brought on my own self.
