I have a Philips DVD system, model no. FWD550.Since last two months, it is not reading new DVD's & DVD's are getting jammed after playing for five minutes. I had lodged a complaint with Philips service centre. Complaint no. 0491497 dt. 14.12.2010.Despite their assurance of service within 48 hours, after repeated follow-up, their service technician came & without even arranging for repairs, he said, we need to buy a new system & charged Rs.450.00.
My repeated complaints to philips service centre on this has only evoked assurances that a new senior technician would visit & get the repairs done, but till date there is no response, despite my regular follow up. Even their helplines donot connect us to their seniors, always telling that they are busy & will call back.
This kind of deficient & poor service by Philips needs to be really corrected & action taken against them. I understand that most of the consumers are suffering due to extremely poor service by Philips.
