I have bought an Apple Iphone 3G from Airtel as it is available through this company in India on bill. I have a UN resolved service issue for last six months and due to this delay the handset is now out of warranty.
The problem stared with the update of operating software provided by the apple company for all Iphones, the GPS feature failed to work (Google it on net and thousands of blogs describe this issue worldwide). The company in India takes no responsibility on this issue describing it as a hardware failure/issue. On calling the apple helpdesk I was told the service contract is with Airtel India. Airtel is not listening and not accepting the phone for service. Further this delay has caused the hand set in an out of warranty situation. I demand both the companies should resolve this service issue as per their contracts and provide their customers with prompt services and far as I am concerned I need a replacement of this phone with immediate effect.
