Amaron batteries
Battery died within 8 months

Dear Sir,

I purchased one Amaron Shield Invertor Battery (s/no 1411498872156) from M/s Raj Auto at Gurgaon (Haryana) on 02.02.2009. The battery stopped working and was replaced in Feb. The new battery (s/n 5405040454240) again stopped working now. On complaining to dealer I was told that the Warranty is valid for 18 months from date of purchase of 1st battery.

As such the warranty is over but ideally any new battery should have a life of its warranty period and in my case the replacement battery has not even served 8 months completely.

I contacted to the Co. office, but they refused to entertain my complaint on the same ground. I wish to submit that the waranty should be valid for the individual battery, and not on the group of batteries replaced in the warranty period. This type of clause in the warranty points out towards the unethical intentions of the Co.and the Co. can't escape from its responsibility from replacing the battery within the warranty period mentioned for new battery. In my views the Co. is be fooling the public by manufacturing cheaper batteries having life of one year or less and giving warranty of 18 months.

I am confident that you will agree to my views and instruct the Co. to replace my old battery with new one

having full warranty of 18 months and remove such type of clause in the warranty cards, which are rarely read at the time of purchasing the battery.

I request you to please take an early action in the matter.

With regards
