I have been chasing APC support to provide me replacement batteries (RBC33 and RBC32)
for the Back-UPS models for the last two weeks or so, but after filing a service ticket
(ticket numbers C1-3622057041, C1-3621987474) and so much of waiting, explaining, waiting,
explaining, waiting, etc. there is still no end in sight. APC is now telling me that they do not
have the backup batteries in stock and they have no idea on when they will be getting it.
When we buy products, we expect them to be supported, especially if they are products
such as UPS. Either APC is selling obsolete/EOL'd models for which they have no
backup batteries, or their support system is so bad that they cannot provide you the
replacement when you really need it.
Either way, you're stuck if your battery in your APC Back-UPS goes dead, so DO NOT BUY
APC UPS solutions, especially BR1000-IN and BR800-IN (which are the commonly found
models in many outlets) without doing enough research about the battery replacement
options available.
