Dear Sir/Mam,
I had purchased an unbranded 5-seater sofa set completely covered with upholstery from M/s Mehgdoot Furniture, near Telegraph Office, Belanganj, Agra in 2008 immidiately after diwali for a price of Rs. 12000. It covered one year guarantee/warranty. I asked for it's bill on which they said it is not required and any complaints will be dealt without bill and without any problem.
After sometime of the purchase, there occured a couple of problems in the sofa set which were dealt with by the supplier. Around the month of september we found lots of problems gradually occurring in the sofa set ranging from loosening of joints (due to which sofa set shakes) to breakage in wooden parts to foam getting loosened. I lodged complaint for it on which the supplier said he would take it for repair after diwali. After diwali I again contacted them for it's repair on which they took the sofa set to their place for repairs and assured me return it back in 3-4 days time. I asked them to either replace the sofa set or replace the broken wooden parts and the foam. On this, they said they will open it completely, check it and if needed they will replace it and that will be all free of cost since it was under guarantee/warranty. However, after much follow-up and repeated phone calls they have still not returned the sofa set to me. It has been now over 1.5 months. Whenever I contacted them they always have the excuse that there is acute shortage of labour due to which the sofa set could not be repaired and it would definately be repaired in just 2-3 days. Unfortunately, my sofa set is still lying with them unrepaired.
Sir, the sofa set is such an investment by a customer which tends to last quite long. But, due to inferior quality of sofa set given to us at such a high price by the seller, we have lost our hard earned money in purchasing it. Under such circumstances, I seek your help to get us full refund back from the supplier for the sofa set. We are also not interested in getting new sofa set in replacement as during these months we have gradually lost faith in the supplier for delivering good quality furniture.
