I am a 28 years old female, married for the last over a year and I had a surgery in Medanta on 16th June for cyst in Ovaries and Biopsy by Dr. Sabhyata Gupta and DJ Stent (in Ureter) change by some doctor from Urology team, whose name was never told to us, and neither is there in the discharge summary or any other record.
With utmost grief I have to inform you that it has been a case of complete negligence by both the Gynecology and Urology team. During the surgery I acquired an infection in the OT - bacteria name - Klebsiella. And for the past almost 3 months I have been suffering and doing everything possible to get rid of this infection, but all has gone in vain. The Urologist Dr. Rajesh Ahlawat & Dr. Rakesh Khera simply subscribed me Naftron and said it was not their case and asked to go to a General Physician. The Physician, Dr. Shushila Kataria tried giving all crappy medicine that was under her medical knowledge (more on a hit and trial basis than anything else), and finally almost raised her hands.
As if, all this was not enough, I just discovered that during the Laproscopic Surgery of the Ovaries, the staple pin that was put in my naval has been left behind there itself. And it has been lying there for the past 3 months. I don't know what and how much more of damage would a metal inside my body have caused to me.
In my entire treatement at Medanta, I did not get cure for any of my existing problem. The cyst in my Ovaries started growing just one month after the surgery because Dr. Sabhyata did not do the surgery appropriately and for the lack of knowledge failed to prescribe any medicine to stop the reformation of cyst. When I reported to her about the grown cyst, she asked me to go to Dr. Sonia Malik in Paras Hospital (with whom she probably has a tie up). I dont know why doctors try to cover up the lack of thier knowledge by having tie-ups. Why can't they simply say at the very beginning that the case is beyond their potential?
Whever I try to reach Dr. Sabhyata, her phone is switched off.
I am sorry to say, that though you have been successful in making a 5 star hospital with all latest equipments and technology, but you have failed to get good doctors. Patients at Medanta are just treated as a mere "Cases" that would get you money. The aim of all the doctors is only to pressurise patients to go in for surgery, without knowing if the doctors are actually even capable enough to do the surgeries and whether they know the post surgery treatment or not.
For the last 4 months, me and my family has been undergoing so much of emotional trauma, and on the financial front as wellI I have almost spend all the money that I had saved till my 28 years. With such inaccessible and unknowledgable doctors, how can you expect any patients to come back to your hospital. The only option I am left with is to go to the consumer court and get my treatment done in some other hospital.
