NORTON 2009 ANTIVIRUS
ENCOUNTERS AN ERROR And switches off

Of late, as i work on my computer, the norton gives an error message and closes down its working. The icon

vanishes from the bottom tool bar . the desk top icon does not open the norton software.

if i close down the internet connection norton works.

what do i do?
