Traumatic Service in Domain Renewal

I own a domain name by the name FreshersPark.com which I purchased from ManasHosting.com in year 2008. Earlier they used to send mailer to inform the renewal of domain every year. This time in year 2010 I did not received any information about the renewal. All of a sudden on 5th march my domain expired. When I contacted Manashosting.com, they bluntly told me that it is my sole responsibility to remember the time of renewal of my domain they can't help. They asked me to make a payment of Rs. 499.00 in cash in their SBI bank account. On 10th Mar I made he payment in cash and raised a ticket to renew a domain on manashosting .com website and provided them a scanned copy of the cash receipt.

After that I contacted them several times for the renewal of my domain but no productive response from their side. Finally I contacted Public Domain Registry for help. They helped me to renew and transfer my domain to some other vendor.

Now when I contacted manashosting for refund of my payment, again they came up with the same story to raise the ticket and wait. On asking about "How much time it will take for the refund", they said can't comment but it might take a long time.

Is this is the kind of service we expect from the service provider especially in a area of IT. It has been a traumatic experience for me. Please help.
