Airtel
Cheated of Rs.1099 (Ticket # 46583154)

Hi. I had requested for Broadband connection from Airtel. I got a call from an Airtel representative (Pavan Kumar from Maruti Electronics, Domlur) who took my address. He said he'll come over to my apartment in a few minutes to take my order. Meanwhile, I also received 3 messages on my cell thatking me for choosing Airtel connection & requesting me to keep certain things like photo, adddress proof, etc.., ready. The reference # quoted in the sms is 935655392.

The agent arrived. I gave a passport size photo & cash of Rs.1099 for a 1 MBPS broadband connection. He gave me a receipt, however, later I saw that there were only 3 digits of the invoice number visible. He had torn away the last 3 digits. He had told me that I'll get the connection the following Monday. This happened on Thursday. 12th May.

On the same day I got a call from another Airtel customer service representative saying that he came over & checked in my building to see whether an Airtel connection is possible and concluded that it is not.

I called the nodal officer, Mr. Mohan, (Ph # 08041115338) the following Monday and explained what happened. He told me to wait for a total of 7 days. He opened a complaint ticket (Ticket # 46583154). I have waited for 13 days but nothing has happened. Instead of Mohan, being a Nodal Officer, attending to & resolving my issue or at least escalating it, shunted me over to a regular representative to whom I had to explain my issue all over again.

In spite of several requests from me asking to either refund my money or give me the connection they haven't done anything. In fact, they had the audacity to close the ticket saying the issue was resolved. I have forced them to re-open it. This is gross negligence on the part of Airtel and specificall Mohan, the nodal officer.

It's clear to me that I've been cheated. Please help!
