Airtel billing extra even after disconnection

Dear Authority,

Please take some action against Airtel as they are not paying any attention in spite of my complaints.

I had applied for disconnection of my Airtel broadband connection on 11th July (request # 511070). Since nobody from Airtel contacted me even after repeated request I went to Airtel, Bannerghatta office and submitted the modem and other equipments there. I even informed airtel customer care regarding this.

When the next bill came I saw that Airtel has billed me upto 30th August. Please note that all my outstanding bill was clear before this period.

I have raised a billing complaint with Airtel and it has been so long and I have not received any response even after repeatedly emailing them. The request # is 4156988.

Kindly help as although the billing dispute is not being settled by them but still they are charging me for late payment etc.

Airtel is a fraud. Although the broadband quality is good, the billing is always faulty. Is there no authority in India that can stop these scamsters? I am even mulling the idea of filing an RTI to know whether this is just a mistake or a scam that Airtel plays with its customers.
