Termination of Landline and Broadband

I registered a request to deactivate my Landline and Broadband connection with Airtel on 16th October. They registered the request # 1242474. For about a week - I got calls from their Retentition department luring me to continue with the number with subsidies on phone bill etc - which I happily declined and told them that I am not happy with their services and no discount schemes etc would change my mind to continue with them. The final bill for settlement was INR 2580 and I paid around INR 3000 a few weeks back.

On Monday 15th November - I got an SMS from Airtel that my services have been activated - I was furious and naturally quite disturbed. Called up Airtel again and registered the complaint # 39944366 and was transferred to Retention Department (after undergoing several iterations) who promised to get this issue resolved by 21st November.

Today is 22nd November and the number is still active and the IVR tells me an outstanding balance of INR 999 is due for payment. I have never come across such cheats who do not have an integrated communication system. Not only they overcharged me but also have guts to issue a new bill..
