Dear Sir/Madam,
This is with reference to my experience that I had on 23rd Feb '08 during my
visit to the Benetton outlet/showroom in Bhubaneshwar.
The entire sales team was very proactive, energetic and helpful. This
along with the discount applicable, made my shopping a delight with
your brand.
I have been a regular customer of benetton and have again made a
purchase of Rs.4, 447.50 under CM No. 0001769 dated 23/02 @
15:55:00. The details of the purchase were as follows:
Style Price
5A42SQV48 2, 499/-
3F56J2002 999/-
4U6AZ7558 1, 999/-
3094C1601 399/-
2EU652V38 2, 999/-
After I decided to go ahead I found a belt worth 1, 000/- (before
discount) attractive and was negotiating with the sales person to be
included free, given the total size of the transaction. In the
meanwhile my credit card (HDFC Titanium Credit Card) was swiped for
the above transaction.
When Mr. Anshuman Sahu arrived in the branch (after keeping me waiting
for 25 minutes), post my discussions with the sales person, he came
across and told me very brashly that it cannot be done and to get out
of the shop. Given his rudeness, i requested the sales person and him
to cancell the earlier transaction and refund the entire amount back
to me. To this Mr. Anshuman Sahu, further became very rude and came to
a point where he threatened to take me to the police station, stating
that he had local connections and that as per company policy, refund
was not possible. On highlighting were it was mentioned he pointed to
a board (which was covered by a benetton bag) and further to the bill,
which was till that time not handed over to me. When I further
requested for his managers name and telephone no., he flatly refused
saying that this was his store and he reported directly to the company
HO in gurgaon.
The entire experience has left me disheartened and when i reached back
to my hotel, i found your email ID on the purchase. I'm sure you would
like to look at this particular individual, as he not only misused his
position but also put the name of your organization in very bad light.
Look forward to you taking the corrective action on the aforesaid
person, after your due diligence.
