I have made a purchase vide Purchase memo No. T56/3435 Dt. 19.07.2009 for an amount of Rs. 1, 471 at Big Bazar Ameerpet Hyderabad.

I purchased two Care Mate Diapers of Rs. 299 each amounting to Rs. 598 but i was billed for three which amounted to Rs. 897. Apart from this there were other items which had no discrepancy. As usual there were good offers in the big bazar and there was huge rush. Due to which we were not given proper chance to check the bill at items within your store. Normal practice of your store customer get the items for billing to your billing counter and your billing staff will take the goods and accordingly bill for it. But what happens actually is that you take goods and project it before bar code for billing if your project twice then the billing is twice and the customer gets one product and billed for twice. At this point customer is not given any chance to even atleast view how many is being billed and whether is he paying exactly for what is he getting??? am sure atleast for this many a times it has happened to me. After the billing is over since we have trust on you and crowd is so much that you feel like coming out of that at the earliest and we donot check. In fact i have also not checked this and was billed for three products. I noticed it at my house about this discrepancy.

Upon noticing this i called up the customer care on Phone No.- 040-66573333 and informed about this where in i was informed to come personally and lodget a complaint at the customer which i did at the same day at 21.15 hrs where as my billing time was 20.11 Hrs. During the time of lodging the complaint also i have informed that it was my mistake and your hence lets come to win win situation where in your customer service staff has asked for 48 hours of time so that they could check the thing if they found that they have an excess thing they would definately inform me but unfortunately till now over past two months no intimation has come to me.

By raising this point am definately not expecting the refund of Rs. 299 what i was billed but what the issue by raising is that whether this type of things is being done by staff with the knowledge of the management or not is my doubt??

If its done with the knowledge of the management definately you are cheating the customers probably i would be first person to stop the customers from coming to your store. This needs total correction.

If its done without the knowldege then you staff is deceiving you please have a check and proper control. In my issue there would have been definately involvement of staff where staff would have taken away this packet by not giving it to the customer.

I am not expecting a reply for this mail which i would have wasted almost an hour in drafting the reply but why i thought i should bring it to your notice is that you should not get a bad reputation by doing this type of things since i love to shop in big bazar in any part of the country as i extensively travel.
