Connector irresponsible/rude behavoir of co-passenge

Dear Sir,

I am Mrs Vani and I want to register a complaint against BMTC bus route no 400A towards the irresponsible behavior of conductor.

I am working has Manager in Public sector and I felt that it is my responsibility to complaint against this route.

Since my house is in Kasturi Nagar, i am totally dependable on this bus.400A is the only bus which runs b/w HAL to KR Puram. I usually board the bus near gitanjali (BEML Admin gate) around 5.15 pm. during that time many of passenger traveling in that bus will be native of KGF, they will take this bus to reach Bypanahhali railway station. most of them will be always standing near the entrance and never let any ladies to get inside.

Since these buses are mini buses the entrance will be always crowded. And never ever the conductor will tell these passenger to get inside and these passenger always prefer to sit in front seat, and ladies will be standing next to them with great difficulty.

Yesterday I was waiting for this bus and the bus didn’t stop in bus stop, since this is the only bus to Kasturi nagar, I took an auto and followed the bus and got into bus at NGEF, in third seat one young boy was seating alone, I requested him to move towards the window side and he told me that he will get down in next stop, hence I sat near the window side, and he was sitting next to me, but in next stop he didn’t get down, he was traveling all the way talking over mobile, In kasturi nagar, I requested him to get up, so that i can get down, but he didn’t get up, as every body know that mini bus is so congested I could not get out, i once again him to get up, but he denied saying that, he will never get up and allow me to get down, it was embracing situation, all the people in bus started staring at me. Then requested driver to take the vehicle to police station, so that problems can be addressed to them, but still the conductor is simply looking at the my face, behaving as though it is none his business to solve the problem. Then other passenger requested the boy to get up and at last the conductor joined.

When I told the whole episode to my husband, he insisted me to take my car to office, Though I am affordable to take car daily to my office. I prefer using public transport, because to save our environment and to avoid more traffic on road.

The reason behind the conductor behavior is due to following reason.

1. Once he did not gave me ticket just took Rs.5 from me and returned back Rs.5.but I insisted him to give ticket.

2.And most of the regular passengers don’t take ticket, they will just pay some partial amount to conductor.

Since it is conductor's duty to take care of environment inside the bus, many lady passengers hesitate to board this mini bus. When we pay same amount as the big buses fare, why don’t BMTC provide us the proper buses. Why they have to provide mini buses for this kind of routes.

In this pathetic condition how, Govt is expecting people to use public transport. Proper vigilance check up for ticket issuing and change in behavior and owning the responsibilities of their duties will only change mind set of people.

The image of BMTC has gown down in my eyes with the behavior of this conductor.

Certain measure needed to be taken to make them realize how to behave with everyday commutator.
