This complaint was about Mr. Deepak Gangurde mobile # (9321597432) one of citifinancial's collection officer who was engaged in the following unfair and abusive collections practices.

On 28th April I received a call from this person asking me to pay April balance as the payment was due on 5th April. I told the officer I will pay the money, however after 1st of May because I do not have funds this month, on this your officer started using filthy language like "you are a Beggar, You are a Dog" and many more. This man as no right to abuse, threatening me and my family members by sending collection agent and asking them to wait in my house until the payment is made only for a bucket 1 case.

I immediately called citifinancial customer care and kept them informed.. I was really serious about this and wanted a strict action to be taken on this person because Iam just from bucket 1 he may be doing this to so many other customers. I just wanted to bring this to their notice. I informed customer services that my complaint will still go more further as I was shocked with the behaviour and threatening words used by Citifinaicial officer on call. I was Hoping Citi-Financial takes the correct and prompt actions against this person and would keep me update regarding the same..

After which I got a reply from citi financial on 4 May stating:

This is with reference to your query regarding your loan account number 15674773 with CitiFinancial wherein you have raised concerns on the collection efforts made by the Company to recover outstanding dues.

In this regard, we would like to state that your banker had returned one installment (of Rs. 1308/- each) unpaid. We would like to inform you that due to non receipt of the above payment, collection follow ups and efforts were made in order to remind you of your overdue payment and assist you in maintaining a good credit record.

We would, further, like to inform you that collection efforts are made in line with the Fair Practices Code of the Company, in accordance with the extant provisions of laws and regulations. We, therefore, request you to contact our company officials and make the over due payments so as to avoid further consequences/liability arising out of collection follow ups and legal proceedings..

In case you require further clarifications, please contact us through any of the channels mentioned below. Also, kindly quote the aforesaid Loan Account Number in all your future correspondence with us.

Then I wrote to them on 5th May

Dear Citifinancial,

Please Read my complaint again and undersatnd what it says before you reply. I have made a compliant regarding a collection officer Mr Deepak Gangurde mobile # (9321597432) and you are telling me that collection efforts are made in line with the Fair Practices Code of the Company, in accordance with the extant provisions of laws and regulations. Please read the mail and the words used by your officer and this is what you call Fair Practices then am force to go to consumer court.

To which they replied back on the 5th May with the same copy pasted matter or the format they have for their customers.

This shows they are simply not bothered about the behaviour from the officer but their installments.

I was looking for an email address for a higher authority to address this matter to. The one which I have is We Care"
