No response in monito

For the last few days I had problem in starting my system due to fan failure and sometimes on starting the keyboard and mouse failed to responnd .but yesterday when i started my system the monitor didnt respond showed that "monitor going to sleep".it happened again when i started and the problem still exists. compaq presario SG3440IL, PROD # KT478AA#ACJ, S/N INA82302BW
