Dear Sir/Madam,

Sub: Warranty Extension of Compaq V3424 AU and related Issues-reg-

My name is Bijith George Abraham and I am writing this email in connection to my Compaq Presario V3424AU (Serial number 2CE73144VS, Product number GN394PA) currently running the 3rd year of extended warranty period which will expire on 28 Oct. When I approached the HP care (Maha Electronics Pvt Ltd, Door No 39/3723, Ravipuram Road, Ernakulam) at Cochin, Kerala, I came to know that HP has currently stopped the next year's warranty extension for the consumer notebooks like Presario, Pavilion etc and are giving only to the corporate/Business laptops for the next years warranty extension. First, HP sold us the defective notebooks series (Compaq V3000*, V6000*) and then not giving any sort of help like calling back the defective series, replacing the defective hardware parts etc. and ignoring the Compaq V3000*, V6000* customers. I have replaced two motherboards within three years of warranty. It was really expensive to me because I paid about Rs35000/- for the notebook plus Rs7000/- for two year warranty extension and am not willing to spend about Rs 10000/-for motherboard and allied expenditures. I am in need of another one year warranty extension package because i am not in a situation to meet the heavy replacement cost of the defective parts of a defective notebook series.

Kindly allow me for another one year warranty extension package as a relief from the Heavy replacing cost to the defective parts of Compaq Presario V3424AU.

Please keep the consumers interest on HP-Compaq and dont let them to switch to some other products/brands. I don’t know what exactly HP’s strategy is? but remember one thing that customer satisfaction is the prime concern of business. HP is switching promises from satisfying the customers to business interest and ignoring the consumer rights. Please note that Word of Mouth is the best marketing Strategy of any product/service.

Once again i request you to take positive steps to keep my expectation from HP.

Waiting for a positive replay soon from your side

Thanking you

Yours Sincerely

Bijith George Abraham

Hence I would like to place my complaint against HP- Compaq for selling defective pieces even after knowing that the model is defective. I was not well informed about the problems and issues relates to the aforementioned series V3424, the sales men of ONLINE IT SHOPPE, Valanjabalam, Cochin, convinced me that the aforementioned product is highest selling product of HP compaq at the time of purchase. the same laptop is no longer got any resale price and not demanded in second hand market. I am feeling very much pain cos i spend about 35000 for the laptop and plus 7000 for warrenty extension and the value for my money is zero ie Rs 42000 money has no value because of purchasing the aforementioned product.

I am writing this Mail to Consumer forum only because pain caused to me for buying a Branded Laptop HP Compaq. I am a Consumer and i will never go to purchase and suggest to purchase HP-Compaq products because they are not concerned about consumer satisfaction. From the date of my mail to HP, i didn't received any mail or intimation from HP compaq in this regard till now.

I therefore request you to take necessary steps to solve this issue.

Thanking you

BIJITH
