This complaint is against the mistreatment and discrimination and poor services meted out to me and my group . we visited Corbett hideway resort, Uttar pradesh on 5th april. our confirmed reservations were for 3 rooms, 2nights/3 days pakage. on reaching the resort on 5th april to my utter surprize the staff of the hotel not only were rude and un co-operative, thet instead of welcoming us declined our confirmation for one room and made it clear that we shall need to vacate the room on 6th april morning. i had already paid in advance to my travel agent who had got the booking done through his source (country inn resort). had the staff (arvind kumar) been co-operative and understanding he would have handled the situation well, but it seems untrained staff are employed by these hotels for cost cutting. we contacted our travel agent who after some time assured us that corbett hideway had no issues and we may enjoy our holiday. we were three families, including kids, infants. On 6th april morning we went for morning safarai and on coming back again the staff of the hotel in a very irritating tone and rude manner directed us to check out due to the non confirmation. this was too much to accept, we under protest checked out from all rooms, despite valid confirmation. i also met the manager incharge and appraised him of his staff goof up and behaviour. but it seemed he was also not bothered. on the other hand all foreign tourists were beoing looked after well and the fellow country men are discriminated against. i don't say you mjistreat tourissts but atleast we should be at par, if not below/above.
this incident of corbett hideway resort (a leisure hotels group) has really left me disappointed. I may contemplate filing complaint against them in consumer courts etc.
