Justdial

My complaint is regarding my contract with Justdial. Recently I signed up with them in the month of September. Originally I wanted to try this type of marketing so I asked for 2 months period contract. The lady who called said 1 year contract is mandatory but i can discontinue after 2 months. Based on her assurance I signed with them 1 year contract. As per their contract I would get inquiries related to the work that I do.

On asking about cancelation I was informed that to discontinue this contract i just have to mail once to [email protected] and the management will talk to u (try to convince not to cancel) and they will cancel your contract. I will get a confirmation email canceling the contract.

I gave them 2 cheques - 1 for September and 1 for October. In their 1 year contract it was mandatory to go for ECS debit facility from 3rd month onwards. So they informed me that my 1st ECS debit would happen on 1st November. But when I checked my bank account I came to know that they tried ECS debit twice in the month of October itself. 1st happened on 14th and 2nd happened on 30th October. Though the debit amount got credited both the times the reason was name mismatch.

Now 2 months are over and I have mailed them 4 reminders for canceling my contract. I have been talking to them over the phone also. My first call was made in the month of October. But still they are not responding me and still trying to debit my account. My bankers are HDFC bank. They informed me that since I gave Justdial an authority to make ECS debit they will not be able to stop this facility. They also informed me that again after 15 days they will try ECS once again. So if my contract is not getting canceled next try for ECS would be on 14th November

The most funny part of this issue is that the lady who approached me when I contacted her for cancellation she said ok you can discontinue we will not pass inquiries but your ECS debit would happen. I dont understand whether to laugh or cry. I signed a contract to get inquiries.

I am very sure that I want to cancel this contract and ready to go any length if required. I am ready to provide all the details. Pls. suggest what sd i do before 14th November so that I can avoid ECS debit. Thanks Nehal
