Unauthorised charging of Rs. 1500 for replacement of defective toll tag

I am a user of Smart Tag (number 07050056543 in the name of Anuj Madan for the past more than 2 years. Recently, the tag has started mal-functioning and the DG Expressway antenna does not detect the Tag at all. I went to POS office at Gurgaon and was told that the Tag has developed a technical snag and would need to be replaced with a new one and I would need to pay a charge of Rs. 1, 500 (which is basically the charge for a new tag).

This is totally unacceptable and unethical as the company cannot be expected to charge it's customers a full sum of a new tag just for a minor repair.

The company officials are requested to replace this defective tag with a new one / repaired one in order to facilitate smooth movement of my car from the tag lane.
