I refer to to the refund policy as indicated on their website
> (www.discountpremiumclub.in) which clearly states as to when and how the
> refund could be availed. Accordingly I requested them to refund the amount
> due to me in the spirit of the declaration made by the organization on their
> your website. Interestingly they have lately removed the refund policy from their website. I however have the print screen shot of their refund policy put on their website, when I was offered the membership.
> All the reasons pointed out by me (as reasons for not accepting this
> membership) are valid reasons and I am restating them
> again.
>
> I am in receipt of a letter giving my membership number and a brochure
> giving details of the offers associated with the membership. These
> documents were received by me on 14/6/08. I have gone through the brochure
> in detail and have reservations on some of the terms of availing the
> offers. For example:
> It was communicated to me that all offers were valid for 1 year from the
> date of membership, while actually the vouchers state that they are valid
> upto 1/10/08. Further based on the list of places/parlors/restaurant/bars
> where these vouchers will be redeemable – from the list provided to
> me it is evident that there are no branded names. Even the list of hotels
> provided does not include good hotels although at the time of the offer I was told that they are 5 star or equivalent properties/service providers.
> The vouchers provided do not have any denomination value. The
> level/quality of services to be provided against has been left at the will
> of parlors/fitness centre/restaurants. There appears to be no transparency
> in the service levels expected to be provided.
> The helpline number is constantly busy and it is not possible to get
> through the number.
> I have checked the reviews on your organization on the internet and they
> do not seem to be encouraging. Reviews about the Company indicate that they have cheated quite a number of consumers
> I tried reaching out the phone numbers of their parent organization (as they claim)
> ‘TLC Marketing UK –which could not be reached out. Even mails
> written to them did not get answered.
> Keeping the above factors in mind –I have my doubts on the quality
> of services the organization will be able to provide.
>
> I have therefore decided to return the documents in the same condition as
> they have been received by me.
Accordingly I requested the Comapnay to
> refund me the money vis a cheque (crossed) of Rs 5490/- {which was paid by me via my ICICI
> Bank Credit Card via debit on 4 June} >
> Consequences: This appears to one another set up which is cheating
> inocent common people by promising what they cannot deliver. I am afraid
> that more people will fall into their trap.
> They have not provided their complete address. What they have provided is
> the post box address of Delhi - although they claim to have an office in
> Noida - which appears to be a call centre address.
> If they have clearly stated a refund policy - they should stick to it -if
> they claim to be transparent.
