SOLE BREAK WITHIN A WEEK WEARN

After purchasing a sandals (DVEINBRENNER) for a high price of 709-/- (discounted price, actual price 899/-), It is really disheartening that the sandal has shown such a complaint that too i've worn it only once and it's not even a week. it's pasting has gone off and the right feet sandal sole has break and lost it's shape and it's just getting out of my feet while walking. And what's more disheartening is that when i went to the above showroom to lodge a complaint about the same, the sales guys and the manager started shouting at me and started quarrelling with me as if i've done some crime or as if i am a culprit. I was just dumbstruck. Even when they themselves know that the defective shoes haven't completed even a week and as i told them that i've worn it only once to office, they were not ready to accept my pleadings. I am very very disappointed with whatever is happening in the quality check department in Bata India and secondly the way the employees treat customers. This is really not done. I even told them that i want a new pair and even i am ready for a different model. I am even ready to shell out extra money for a better make and a model, but they kept my shoe saying that they will repair it and if not, they will try to replace it.. As of now, i've left it there but i am not at all ready to accept the same ones. It's clearly mentioned in the back side of cash memo itself, that Bata is liable to compensate me merit of 100 % of the amount within 15 days if the shoe is defective, but i can't understand why these people are arguing with me senselessly when the fault is clearly on their and bata's part.

I had been purchasing Bata shoes even from my school days and had always liked the brand. But now surprisingly I am forced to hate it, as i have started observing many complaints in this brand. I am worried about the quality concept being lost at Bata.

I have purchased Bata sandals on 27th November from the company operated showroom at Sampagi road, Malleshwaram, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. I do not expect sandals from Bata to only hold good for a year or two as the same guarantee can be given by a unauthorized roadside vendor. I expect more from bata, to take care of the customers. As i've been using the northstar and bata brand since my school days and even now i have 2 pair of more then 6 years old bata mocassino brand with me with no defects. I wish to expect the same assurance and the same quality from Bata in future too. I am extremely conscious about the quality of a product and customer satisfaction, as we take utmost care to retain our customers in my organization, where i work. I would expect a similar role from Bata India limited too.

I would like to know from BATA how they are going to treat my complaint. The way they are to respond to my complaint would reflect their faith on the Quality system and Customer satisfaction.
